Two more Middle Eastern nations will enjoy an advancement in their tennis achievements, as Lebanon and Iran have been promoted to Group II for the 2015 Davis Cup following their victories last month.

Iran defeated Syria 3-0 to secure its spot, while Lebanon joined Group II after they conquered the previously undefeated Malaysia in Saturday’s promotion play-off.

In other news, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates find themselves in Asia/Oceania Zone Group IV next year after losing their respective game to Cambodia and Turkmenistan respectively.

In Zone Group IV, Qatar overcame Pacific Oceania (who had been undefeated in the Pool stages) in the promotion play-off to win a spot in Zone Group III in 2015, while Saudi Arabia maintained its perfect form defeating Jordan 2-0 to also earn promotion next year.
