Former British No. 1 Heather Watson has announced her first tournament back since suffering a shoulder injury during her opening round match at the Sony Open in March. Watson is scheduled to play the Open de Cagnes-sur-Mer, which takes place next week.
The event is an ITF tournament held in Cagnes-sur-Mer, France. The defending champion at the event is Caroline Garcia.
After winning an ITF event in Midland earlier in the year, Watson suffered a shoulder injury and kept her on the sidelines for the past two months. Since reaching the Top 40 last season, she has dropped down to No. 122 in the world. She is 15-6 overall this season.
The Open de Cagnes-sur-Mer takes place between 05 May – 11 May, in Cages-sur-Mer, France.
