British No. 2 Daniel Evans is scheduled to take part in the Aegon Trophy next week in Nottingham.
The tournament will also feature defending champion Matthew Ebden, who defeated Ukraine’s Sergiy Stakhovsky to win the title last season. Evans reached the quarter-final of the event last year.
Evans had a breakthrough season in 2013 when he reached the third round of the US Open and defeated Kei Nishikori in the process. The win lifted him to a career-high of No. 123.
“This year’s entry list is strong with a number of players with title-winning track records in Nottingham returning in search of further glory,” tournament director Paul Hutchins said. “It’s great for players to hone in on their grass-court game ahead of Wimbledon.”
The tournament begins June 2 at the Nottingham Tennis Centre.
