After recently revealing that his wrist injury was a minor one that would not force him onto the sidelines, former world No. 1 Novak Djokovic added more good news on Thursday afternoon when he announced that his fiancé, Jelena Ristic, was pregnant.
Djokovic and Ristic got engaged following the Serb’s run to last year’s US Open final.
The world No. 2 first broke the news on his Facebook account, where he stated, “My dear friends, You’ve been with me through many tough and good times in my career. I’ve been blessed to travel the world, play the most beautiful sport that brings me a lot of excitement and joy; I am happy, loved and healthy. Jelena and I are truly blessed to soon become parents! My love is pregnant!”
Afterwards, Djokovic informed his fans about the news through his twitter account:
