Agnieszka Radwanska1 Agnieszka Radwanska vs Roberta Vinci Preview – WTA Stuttgart 2014 Round 2

Top seeded Agnieszka Radwanska will begin her campaign in Stuttgart with a second round match-up against Italy’s Roberta Vinci. This marks the seventh time these two competitors will meet on the professional tour, with Radwanska leading the series 5-1. This will be their fourth encounter on clay. Check out the Radwanska vs Vinci Head to Head matches.

World No. 3 Agnieszka Radwanska has had a strong season so far in 2014, having reached the semi-final at the Australian Open and the final at Indian Wells, which boosted her ranking to its current high. While she is coming off a disappointing loss to Alize Cornet in the Katowice semi-final, she rebounded with a strong 2-0 weekend for her Fed Cup team, and will be looking to rebound with a strong showing in Stuttgart. Radwanska is not defending l points at this event, as did not take part in it last year. She did however reach the final four in both 2011-12, losing to Caroline Wozniacki and Victoria Azarenka respectively.

World No. 20 Roberta Vinci began her week in Stuttgart with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over local talent Annika Beck. It was a much needed win for the Italian, who had lost 4 of her last 5 matches before this week, including a Fed Cup loss to Petra Kvitova last week. She will be looking to pick up her first Top 5 victory of the season when she meets the Polish No. 1 tomorrow afternoon.

This marks the seventh time these two competitors will meet on the professional tour, with Radwanska leading the series 5-1. This will be their fourth encounter on clay, with Radwanska holding a perfect 3-0 record on that surface. Their last clay court meeting took place at the Madrid Masters and ended 7-6(1) 6-4 for the top seed. Expect a similar result this time around.

Prediction: Agnieszka Radwanska in Straight Sets

Karim, I appreciate your work, but why you always choose to preview the easiest matches?? You don't have to be a genius to predict that Radwanska or Nadal will win. I would like to see matches harder to predict. Thank you
