France will be heavily favoured to win the upcoming Davis Cup quarter-final tie against Germany, with the top players on the German side being plagued with injuries. World No. 13 Tommy Haas and world No. 25 Philipp Kohlschreiber have not been nominated to represent their country next week as both are currently recovering from injuries sustained on the tour.
The French team, equipped with Richard Gasquet, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Gael Monfils and Julien Benneteau, hold a significant edge in Davis Cup experience. The only member on the current German team with any Davis Cup experience is Tobias Kamke, who will be supported by Jan-Lennard Struff, Peter Gojowczyk and Andre Begemann.
The tie is scheduled to take place between 4-6 April at the Palais Des Sports Jean Weille in Nancy, France.
