17-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer surprised many Swiss fans last week when he decided to join his fellow countrymen as a last second addition to their team in a tie against Serbia. The Swiss team would later dominate the tie, jumping to a 3-0 lead before the third day of action to reach the quarter-final stage.
While it was unclear whether Federer would take part in the April quarter-final tie against Kazakhstan, it now appears that he is interested in continuing the year with his teammates, with the hopes of finally lifting that elusive Davis Cup trophy.
