Steve Johnson keeps his 100% victorious record on Challenger finals after claiming Dallas tournament.

Steve Johnson returned this week to competition after a poor performance in Maui against Tim Smyczek, lost 2 -6 3 – 6. Steve had a slow start with a three sets victory over wild card Clay Thompson, however was able to raise his game level not dropping a single set on his wins over Ryan Harrison, Evan King, Victor Estrella Burgos and Malek Jaziri.

Jaziri had a very difficult road into this final, but managed to defeat home players Rajeev Ram and Rhyne Williams on third set tie break, but was not able to stop Steve.

With this victory Johnson takes his third career title on Challenger Tour with an impressive 3 – 0 record on finals.

Bradley Klahn collects second straight title on Challenger Tour with West Lakes sucess

After an impressive campaign at Maui, American Bradley Klahn kept the high level on West Lakes. Klahn won Maui tournament not losing a single set, but in second round needed to comeback from a set down against Benjamin Mitchell. After that round two good wins in straight sets against John-Patrick Smith and Hiroki Moriya to get a place in the final. Klahn played against Tatsuma Ito in the final, the American already defeated Ito in Maui 6 – 2 6 – 1, but this was a much closer match and Klahn took it 6 – 3 7 – 6 saving seven match points on second set.

Yuki Bhambri claims Chennai’s glory after outstanding comeback

Yuki Bhambri made a great run into the final in Chennai dropping only one set against Lucas Pouile and defeating on semi-finals fellow countryman and 1st seed Somdev Devvarman. However in the final struggled against Alexander Kudryavtsev. The Russian took the first set and had break up on third set with 3 – 1 advantage, but Yuki fought back and won five straight games to take the match into a decisive set. In the decider Kudryavtsev was again break up and served for the match at 5 – 4, however Bhambri won three straight games to take the title.

This was a perfect week for Bhambri, the Indian also won the doubles title along with Michael Venus.
