Tournament officials have revealed that world No. 2 Novak Djokovic and 17 time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer will headline the 2014 Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships in March.
“We are delighted to be welcoming the world’s best players back to Dubai. We are looking forward to some thrilling matches. With so many great players here, the fans will be able to see world class tennis on every day of the tournament,” said Dubai Duty Free Executive Vice-Chairman Colm McLoughlin said.
“With five of the top ten men, six of the top ten women and five former world number ones, Dubai tennis fans are set for another sporting treat,” he added.Article Continues Below Ad
Other ATP players expected to participate include Tomas Berdych, Juan Martin Del Potro and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. On the women’s side, Simona Halep, Sloane Stephens, Ana Ivanovic, Jelena Jankovic and Caroline Wozniacki.
The two-week long tournament begins February 17 and runs until March 1.
