Former Russian tennis ‘star’ Anna Kournikova has been at the centre of speculation about her relationship with Latino crooner Enrique Iglesias this week.
An article in the New York Post reported that Ms Kournikova is getting fed up with Iglesias’ refusal to commit to marriage with her, despite spending the past 12 years together. An unnamed source revealed that Kournikova is “getting tired of waiting for him to decide if he wants to marry her or not….They’ve been together for so long, she feels like it’s never going to happen. She is ready to move on.”
Kournikova and Iglesias have reportedly been through similar relationship struggles in the past, but were able to reconcile the differences. Iglesias was forced to deny a secret marriage ceremony to the former tennis player after her referred to her as his wife during a gig in her homeland of Russia. “It was just meant to be sweet” he told reporters at the time “I honestly didn’t mean to confuse people. I thought it’d be easier for the audience to understand than if I said she was my girl.”
Although neither Kournikova’s nor Iglesias’ management have commented about the rumours, a source close to the singer has allegedly come forward with the following sagely advice – “There have been other times when people have speculated there are issues between them. Don’t jump to any conclusions.”
