World No.6 Roger Federer (Player Profile) has landed at the Shanghai Airport, attracting lots of media and tennis fans upon his arrival.
The Swiss legend will be competing at the Shanghai Rolex Masters starting on the 6th October. Federer, who has decided to rest this week and not to compete in Beijing, is currently ranked No.7 in the ATP Race to London and will be trying to secure his place at the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals that will commence on November 4th at the O2 arena in London.
Federer has yet to win a title here in Shanghai, having reached the final in 2010 (lost to Andy Murray). The Brit also managed to overcome the Swiss in last year’s semi-final, beating him 6-4 6-4.
Roger will also be competing in the doubles alongside China’s Zhang Ze, trying to promote tennis in the most populous country in the world.
