Polona Hercog of Slovenia is on the roll at the Bell Challenge WTA Tournament in Quebec. After defeating top seed Kirsten Flipkens in her opening match, she literally overpowered her second round opponent French qualifier Julie Coin, winning 6-0 6-2.
Also through to the last 8 is no.6 seed Marina Erakovic of New Zealand, who eliminated Czech Barbora Zahlavova Strycova in straight sets 6-2 6-1. Erakovic will play the winner of the match between Mattek-Sands and Tomljanovic.
The number two and number three seeds Kristina Mladenovic and Lucie Safarova will be in action later on today, trying to book their place in the quarters.
