2012 US Open champion Andy Murray will square off against the only 16 year old super talented Borna Coric in the opening match of the Davis Cup World Group play-off between Great Britain and Croatia.
Coric won the junior title at this year’s Flushing Meadows in New York and is more than honoured to represent his country. “It’s unbelievable to play for my country, when I was eight or nine we won the Davis Cup – I was watching on the TV and hoping one day I’m going to play there.” said the Croat.
The 16 year old Coric has already captured three futures titles this year, one in Great Britain and two in Turkey. Murray was absent from the last Davis Cup encounter back in April, when his country upset Russia, with Evans, Ward, Fleming and Marray stepping up to the task.
