Andy Murray and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga will square off in the AEGON Championships semi-final at the Queen’s Club in London.
Murray advanced with a 6-4 7-6 (3) victory over the German Benjamin Becker, breaking him four times alltogether. Despite the Brit dropping serve three times as well, he managed to regroup in the second set breaker, closing out the match for another fairly comfortable win. The four time Queen’s champion Murray is yet to drop a set at this year’s tournament.
Tsonga wrapped things up a bit more quickly, eliminating American Denis Kudla 6-3 6-2 in just 53 minutes.
Former world no.1 Lleyton Hewitt showed glimpses of his very best to upset Argentine Juan Martin del Potro, winning in three sets 6-2 2-6 6-2. After both players claimed one set each, it was the Australian who got the upper hand at the start of the decider, breaking Delpo for a 3-1 lead. The Argentine dropped serve once more when serving to stay in the match.
Hewitt’s semis opponent will be Marin Cilic, who overcame second seeded Tomas Berdych 7-5 7-6 (4).
