Top seed Tomas Berdych cruised into the Marseille Open 2013 final after defeating Russian qualifier Dmitry Tursunov 6-2 6-1.

The Czech, who improved his head to head record against Tursunov to 6-1, broke the Russian twice in each of the sets to sail to a comfortable victory in just under one hour.

Should Berdych win the Sunday’s final, he would lift his 9th ATP Tour trophy. His opponent will be no.3 seed Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.

Tsonga also breezed through his match against countryman Gilles Simon, winning in two easy sets 6-2 6-2.

Tsonga won this event back in 2009 and gave himself a chance to grab another title here in Marseille after taking Simon’s serve four times alltogether to book a place in the final.
