Andy Murray booked his Australian Open 2013 semi-final place after defeating Frenchman Jeremy Chardy in straight set 6-4 6-1 6-2.

The no.3 seed Murray is yet to lose a set in this year’s Grand Slam and he will be facing the winner of the match between Federer and Tsonga next.

Chardy never really challenged the US Open 2012 champion, who will try to best his performance from last year, when he went out to Djokovic in the semis in five tight sets.
