David Ferrer defeated Jerzy Janowicz in straight sets 6-4 6-3 in the Paris Masters 2012 final to win his first ever Masters 1000 tournament.

The Spaniard broke the Pole in the 10th game of the first set to take the lead in the match.

Despite Janowicz’s superb start at the beginning of the second set, he couldn’t maintain the break that gave him a 2-1 lead. Not only did Ferrer break back immediately, he took the Pole’s serve in the 6th game of the set and never looked back.

This is very emotional win for Ferrer, who will be going into the ATP World Tour Finals held in London with full of confidence.
