The 2012 US Open semifinal match between the defending champion Novak Djokovic and David Ferrer had to be postponed until Sunday due to an expected tornado.
Ferrer managed to get himself a double break at the beginning of the first set and was just about to serve for it at 5-2 up when the match has been halted. The encounter is scheduled for 11am NY time tomorrow, weather permitting.
One thing is for sure, this year’s final will have to be played on Monday, with Murray already through as he defeated Czech Berdych in the first semifinal of today.
