Andy Murray wins his first career Grand Slam title after defeating Serb Novak Djokovic in a five set thriller on the Arthur Ashe stadium, winning 7-6 (10)  7-5  2-6  3-6  6-2.

Both players gave it absolutely everything and kept the NY crowd at the edge of their seats all the way till the end. After the Brit taking the first two sets, it looked like he could wrap this up, capturing his first dream Slam title. However, Djokovic was never going to give up the fight without leaving his heart and soul on the center court. The Serb eventually managed to take the match into the decider after winning the next two sets. But unfortunately for the Djoker, Murray regained his focus and after breaking Nole twice at the beginning of the deciter, he took a 3-0 lead. Despite the Serb reclaiming one of the breaks, Murray never looked back and claimed the biggest win of his career.
