Agnieszka Radwanska was in full flow, sending former world no.1 Caroline Wozniacki crashing out of  the Toray Pan Pacific Open 2012 today. But it wasn’t without a fight from her opponent who fought back from 3-1 down in the first set to take a 4-3 lead. The world’s most improved female player then regained her earlier composure to close out the set 6-4.

The second set was just as tight with the first break arriving in the fifth game as Wozniacki was slack on her serve and the Pole capitalized to get the upper hand. The Dane who made a number of errors then tried to refocus and  press the world’s No 3 on her serve, but Radwanska just seemed to gain more power in her game and thundered on to win both the set and the match, 6-4, 6-3.

Radwanska hit 20 winners and  a high percentage of first serves and broke Wozniacki’s serve 5 times to progress to the semi-finals.She will play Angelique Kerber for a place in the final.
