The Citi Open is an ATP and WTA concurrent tournament held at the William H.G. FitzGerald Tennis Center (outdoor – hard court) at Rock Creek Park in Washington, D.C. USA.
The WTA singles semi-finals were contested on 3 August 2012. In the first match, number one seed Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (RUS) defeated number four seed Vania King (USA) by a score of 4-6, 7-5, 6-4. In the second match, Magdalena Rybarikova (SVK) defeated number three seed Sloane Stevens (USA) by a score of 6-3, 6-3.
The doubles final was also contested on 3 August. The team of Shuko Aoyama (JPN)/Kai-Chen Chang (TPE) defeated the team of Irina Falconi (USA)/Chanelle Scheepers (RSA) by a score of
7-5, 6-2.
The WTA singles final was contested on 4 August, and Magdalena Rybarikova (SVK) defeated Anastasia
Pavlyuchenkova (RUS) by a score of 6-1, 6-1.
