Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic will battle out the 2012 Cincinnati Masters title in the Sunday’s dream final.

The Swiss world no.1 defeated his coutryman Stanislas Wawrinka in straight sets 7-6 (4)  6-3 as Djokovic avenged this year’s Olympics bronze medal defeat against the Argentine Juan Martin del Potro, beating him this time in two impressive sets 6-3  6-2.

This will be the first final between these tennis greats this year and the Cincy crowd can be looking forward to a spectacular showdown. Just a week before the start of the US Open, both Federer and Djokovic seem to be on top form and there is a strong chance that we could see a pre-warm encounter for the upcoming 4th Grand Slam title.

The head to head between the two players stands at 15-12 in Federer’s favour, with their last encounter being the 2012 Wimbledon semis match, where the Swiss prevailed in four sets.
