Dutchman Robin Haase repeated history by winning his second consecutive Bet-at-Home Cup in Kitbühel, Austria.  Haase was up against first seeded Philipp Kohlschreiber, who started out the match strong.  In a tightly contested first set, the German won in a tiebreaker.  Rain shortly followed which caused a brief delay to the match.

The tide began to turn as the match resumed.  Haase became the more dominating player, breaking Kohlschreiber three times in the second set, and twice in the third.  This was too much for the no. 1 seed to overcome, and Haase denied him the opportunity to win his second title of the year.  The Dutchman took the mat 6-7, 6-3, 6-2 in 2 hours and 7 minutes.

Following the match, Haase said about his win, ”I am pretty happy to win this year again. The last weeks weren’t that easy for me because I’ve lost a lot of tough matches. This made me want to win this match today. After the rain break I was playing pretty strong. I also want to thank the organisation for a great tournament. I will come again in 2013, it’s one of my favourite tournaments.“
