Croatian Marin Cilic moved into the BMW Open final after beating German wild card holder Tommy Haas 6-3  6-4 in just 75 minutes.

The 3rd seed Croat broke the 34 year old Haas in the 8th game of the first set to serve it out and take the lead in the match. Although the German was suffering from a slight back problem, he didn’t want to walk away without putting up a good fight.

But Cilic proved to be too strong for the former world no.2 Haas, and after breaking the German once more in set 2, he sailed to victory.

Despite losing today’s semifinal, Haas has played some superb tennis throughout the week and showed the crowd that he has still got what it takes to compete with the best in the business.

Cilic will either play Feliciano Lopez or Philipp Kohlschreiber in Sunday’s final.
