The Indo-Czech duo Leander Paes and Radek Stepanek won the Sony Ericsson Open doubles title as they defeated the Belarussian-Canadian pair Max Mirnyi and Daniel Nestor 3-6  6-1  10-8.

This was the 50th doubles tournament title for the 38 year old Leander Paes, his third in Miami.

Paes/Stepanek started the final a bit more slowly, but came back strong in the second set and after they managed to break their opponents twice, the match was levelled at  1 set all.

In the final tiebreak, the Indo-Czech duo were trailing 1-4 before coming back and winning the next six points that helped them to capture the title.

Paes/Stepanek beat world no.1 pair Bob and Mike Bryan 6-4  6-4 and Mirnyi/Nestor booked their place in the final with a win over the Indian duo Bhupathi/Bopanna 6-2  6-4.
