The third seed and defending champion Pablo Andujar of Spain reached the Grand Prix Hassan II semifinal after beating fellow countryman Sergio Gutierrez-Ferrol 6-4  1-6  6-3.

This was the second win of the day for Andujar as he overcame Italy’s Potito Starace 6-3  6-0 only a few hours before the quarterfinal match against Gutierrez Ferrol.

Andujar will face Flavio Cipolla of Italy next, who overcame the Frenchman Benoit Paire 6-3  6-4.

In the other semifinal, Albert Ramos of Spain will meet Russian Igor Andreev.
