The Australian qualifier Marinko Matosevic of Australia will play in his first ever tour final as he defeated Dudi Sela of Israel 5-7  6-4  7-6 (7) in the semis of the Delray Beach International Tennis Championships.

The match lasted almost 3 hours and the Australian converted his fifth matchpoint to book his place in the final.

Matosevic is now on a 12 match wins in a row, as he won the challenger title in Caloundra before this tournament. He also had to win three qualifying matches to get into the main draw this week.

Matosevic will play Kevin Anderson in the final. Anderson ousted the top seed John Isner in the other semifinal, beating him 7-5  7-6 (4).
