Wawrinka beats Nishikori, Almagro also through in Buenos Aires

Sixth seed Stanislas Wawrinka of Switzerland booked his place in the Buenos Aires semifinals as he defeated Kei Nishikori of Japan 6-4  6-2.

This was the first meeting between the two players and Wawrinka will now face Nicolas Almagro in the semifinals. The last match between the two took place at this year´s Australian Open, Almagro winning it.

Almagro dismissed the Russian Igor Andreev 6-3  7-5 and will try to defend his title here in Buenos Aires. He won in the last year´s final against Juan Ignacio Chela.
