Top seed David Ferrer is on his way to win his second title this year. He moved into the Buenos Aires Open semifinal by beating Fernando Gonzalez of Chile 6-2  6-4.

Gonzalez will play one more tournament before he retires from tennis. His best result was a 2007 final at the Australian Open, where he lost to Federer.

World no.5 Ferrer is yet to lose a set at this year´s tournament and will play David Nalbandian for a place in the final.

Nalbandian outplayed Carlos Berlocq of Argentina, winning in two easy sets 6-0  6-3.
