Impressive Federer beats Del Potro at the Australian Open

16 time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer will play his ninth successive Australian Open semifinal after defeating Juan Martin Del Potro 6-4 6-3 6-2.

He will now play either Nadal or Berdych in the semifinal.

Federer got off to a quick 3-0 lead, but del Potro managed to break back and it was the 10th game that decided the faith of the set and it was the Swiss who took it by breaking the Argentine’s serve once more.

The former world no.1 stepped up his game even more in the following two sets and del Potro was never really a threat for him this time.
