Former world no.1 Kim Clisters saved four matchpoints against the Chinese Li Na at the 2012 Australian Open, winning 4-6 7-6 (8-6) 6-4.

With this win she set up a possible match with the world no.1 Caroline Wozniacki in the quarterfinals.

Clisters came back from an almost impossible situation. She was a set down and 2-6 down in the second set tiebreak. She showed some fighting spirit to save four matchpoints and took the match by winning the decider 6-4.

It could have been all over for the Belgian in the first set, as she twisted her ankle and it didn’t look good for her. Her movement throughout the rest of the match was a bit restricted, but her belief and strong will carried her through to the next round.
