Donald Young battled his way through to defeat Gael Monfils of France 4-6, 7-6 (5), 7-6 (5) to reach the final of the Thailand Open. This will be his first ATP World Tour final ever and he will play against the winner of the match between Murray and Simon.

“I’m so happy to be in the final,” said Young. “I’d like to take it a step farther but either guy I play is going to be very tough.

The world nr.55 Young has already played Murray twice this year, beating him in Indian Wells and losing to him at the US Open.
