Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland will meet Andrea Petkovic of Germany in the China Open final.
For Radwanska, this could be the second title in two weeks as she won last week’s Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo. The Polish no.11 seed beat Flavia Pennetta of Italy 6-2, 6-4 in their semifinal encounter.
The ninth-seed Petkovic overpowered Monica Niculescu of Romania, allowing her only two games as she took the match 6-2, 6-0.
Radwanska has won all their previous four meetings against Petkovic and managed to beat her twice this year. Despite of this one sided head-to-head record, Petkovic is on top form and it should be a close final.
