Sorana Cirstea of Romania surprisingly defeated fourth seeded Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova of Russia 4-6, 6-0, 6-4 in the second round of the Generali Ladies Linz tennis tournament in Austria.

Pavlyuchenkova couldn’t find her serve as she made 11 double faults. Cirstea will play either Lucie Safarova or Alberta Brianti next.

This was the day of upsets, when Julia Goerges of Germany also went out in the second round to the Russian Evgeniya Rodina in straight sets 6-3, 6-4.
