Mirnyi-Nestor and the Poles into Shanghai QFs

The Roland Garros champions Max Mirnyi of Belarus and Daniel Nestor of Canada dismissed the Austrian-Serb duo Oliver  Marach and Janko Tipsarevic 6-2, 6-3 and moved into the Shanghai Masters quarterfinals.

They will now play Nicolas Almagro of Spain and Bruno Soares of Brazil for a place in the semifinals.

The Poles Mariusz Fyrstenberg and Marcin Matkowski also made their way to the quarterfinals by beating Tommy Robredo and Dmitry Tursunov in two easy sets 6-1, 6-2.

Their opponent in the quarterfinals will be the world no.1 duo Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan.

They still fight for a place at the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals as they are currently ranked 8th.

    Karen,That is funny. I was tihiknng along the same lines when I saw that picture. I was especially amused at how they are holding their flower bouquets…I wonder where those ended up when they got back to the locker room.
