Kvitova victorious in Linz final

Petra Kvitova of Czech Republic celebrated her first tournament win since she won Wimbledon this year.

Top seed Kvitova ended Dominika Cibulkova’s first WTA title hopes as she beat the Slovak 6-4, 6-1 to lift the trophy at the Generali Ladies Linz Open.

Kvitova has been struggling with form since July this year but this victory is a good sign for her just before the WTA Championships start in Istanbul.

This was her fifth tournament title this year and only Wozniacki has got one more title than the Czech.
