Top seed Petra Kvitova of Czech Republic dismissed Daniela Hantuchova of Slovakia 6-2, 6-2 to reach the semifinals at the Generali Ladies Linz tennis tournament.

The Wimbledon champion dominated throughout the whole match and will play Serbian Jelena Jankovic in the semifinals.

Former world no.1 Jankovic battled her way to the semis as she beat Evgeniya Rodina of Russia 6-2, 6-4.

In the other semifinal Dominika Cibulkova of Slovakia, who defeated Anastasia Rodionova of Australia 6-7 (5), 6-2, 6-1, will meet Lucie Safarova of Czech Republic. Safarova overcame Sorana Cirstea of Romania 7-5, 6-2 and will be hoping to reach her third final of the year.
