David Ferrer of Spain became the fifth player to qualify for the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals. He joins Djokovic, Nadal, Federer and Murray, who have already secured their final spots.

The world no.5 won two titles this year – in Auckland and Acapulco. He also got to the Australian Open semifinal, beating Spain’s Nadal in the quarters.

This is the third time that the Spaniard reaches the end year tournament, where the world best eight players compete for the title.

In 2007, Ferrer had a dream run before losing against then world no.1 Federer in the Final.
