Petra Kvitova was the one who defeated her in this year’s Wimbledon final to win her first Grand Slam title.
World no.1 Caroline Wozniacki surprisingly lost her match against the unseeded Kaia Kanepi of Estonia. Kanepi beat the Dane 7-5, 1-6, 6-4 and made her way into the quarters. This was Kanepi’s first win against Wozniacki in their three meetings so far.
