Argentina booked their place in the Davis Cup final after defeating Serbia in the semis.

The key moment of the match came when world no.1 Novak Djokovic had to withdraw against Argentine Juan Martin del Potro, just at the beginning of the second set, when trailing 6-7  0-3.

It was apparent that Djokovic was experiencing some back problems and after not being able to continue in his match against Del Potro, Argentina secured themselves the final third point for a place in the final.

Djokovic had to pull out of his first singles encounter against David Nalbandian due to the earlier mentioned injury scare. Argentina took a 2-0 lead after the first day, just before the Serbian team kept their hopes alive by winning the doubles match the following day. However, it will be Del Potro and co who will have a chance to play for the Davis Cup trophy, when they meet Spain in the final.
