PinExt Caroline Wozniacki to be no.1 seed at US Open 2011

Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark will be the top seed at this years US Open. The Dane, who was a 2009 finalist at this event, is yet to win a grand slam. Vera Zvonareva, last years runner-up, was named as no.2 seed. Last year’s champion Clisters was forced to pull out of the event due to an injury. Maria Sharapova, 2006 winner, will be seeded as no.3.

The three time champion Serena Williams will be seeded 28th. Although some wanted her to have a higher seeding, the USTA decided against and the only thing that they considerer was the current ranking.

haahha i'm sure she'll be one because right now, her dad keeps exposing her to tennis games. we watched the match between nadal and djokovich a while ago and she keeps swinging her arms while watching the game.thanks for being the FC lainy.
